Mark's 1st movie
On Christmas Eve our family, along with Christopher's family went to see "Alvin and the Chipmunks:The Squeakquel". The kids really liked it and Mark actually watched it until he started getting antsy at the end. He just stood up at the end and danced so it all worked out okay :) Here are a few pics to document this 1st.

Santa Clause 2009
My Mom, my sis-in-law, my nephew, Mark and I went to see Santa on Dec. 5th this year. We went early b/c I was dying to take Mark, and I only had that weekend free to do it with work and other family obligations. I was afriad this year wouldn't be as easy as last year, but I had no idea it would be as bad as it was. I didn't actually get a pic of Mark with Santa, not even one where he is crying b/c he never got that close. He was holding on to the back of my shirt for dear life, crying at the top of his lungs protesting this yearly tradition. My nephew who is the same age Mark was last year did okay at first then as he sat there waiting to see if Mark would calm down for a combo pic, he started wailing. It was an experience we will never forget, esp. since we waited in line for an hour and a half. Maybe next year will be better?

Waiting in line

He got really bored...

Us with our boys...Aiden wouldn't stop staring at the beautiful poinsettia tree.

Mark's 1st hair cut
On Dec. 19th we took Mark to have his first hair cut. Mrs. Ethel is Christopher's hair sylist, so both the boys got their hair cut. Mark went first and sat in his Daddy's lap. He did really good. He did a lot better than I thought he would and the experience definitely rated higher than Santa Clause this year! I will post about that one later... Anyway here are some of the shots I got :) I was like the paparazzi, but he will only have his first hair cut once. He looks like a little man now!

the before shot with his curls

He was looking around at everything, trying to figure out where we were.

Getting started...

Starting to take shape

Keeping his hands occupied.

1st Annual Friends Christmas Party '09
This year my friends and I decided we would have a big dinner together and draw names for secret Santa. It helped us all out financially and it was really fun getting together for a little party to have our own little Christmas since we couldn't be together on Christmas. Our family is SO blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people! We really have the greatest friends in the entire world! They have helped us out so much this year with our financial situation and always spoil our little boy rotten. He is loved so much and it couldn't make me happier. :) God has always taken care of us and he has sent some pretty special people into our lives to get us through this crazy thing we call life. He is so good! Here are a few shots from that night. We did take group pics, but I'm going to have to steal those off Facebook, b/c they weren't on my camera!

Grace's 7th Birthday Party!
These pics are a little out of order, but you may not be able to tell. It just bothers me...

The birthday girl blowing out her candles.

Mark with his Uncle Blake.

Riding the carousel with cousin Ariel. This was the first time he rode so he wasn't too sure, but he rode it like 10 times after this. He def. wanted to stay on it all night!

Watching people roller skate in the next room.

Watching the carousel with Aunt Brandi.

He found a dragon to ride.

Weeee!

Having a blast :)

Riding the train with Mommy...I look more excited than him, but he did like it!

I didn't really like this ride, but I rode it with him anyway, although you can't tell by my face. My sister-in-law was making me laugh trying to take pics of us going in a circle!

The start of December
Marky Mark posing for me in front of the tree before bed one night :)
This was from another night before bed...this is prob. my favorite pic from Christmas!
Our tree! Mark did really well with the tree/presents this year. I thought he was going to be all into everything, but he learned quickly that it wasn't a toy!
Turkey Day '09 Part 2
Thanksgiving Day we had lunch with my Mom's side of the family at my grandparents' house. I only got a few shots for some reason. These are the best ones I got.

Mark with his new cousin, Aubrey. It was her 1st Thanksgiving and she slept through most of it.

Mark and his cousin, Aiden. They are such good buddies. I love that they have each other to play with.

Mark and his Paw-Paw, my Daddy. Two of my fav guys in the world :)
