March happenings!

Hello summer and a new town!  The Adams fam made our move to Bham at the end of May.  We finally got our internet set-up so I can make updates to the blog :)  I have a few things to catch up on, complete with a tour of our new place.
Here are some snapshots into our March.

Mark celebrated Dr. Seuss at school!

 I turned 30 on March 8th!

Our version of a card for my Mom's birthday!

My besties came to Auburn and celebrated my birthday!

 My Dad's birthday "card".

Alyssah got to meet Cinderella at our friend, Stella's birthday party!  She liked her until she got up close ;)  My cautious daughter...

And baseball started for this cute little ball player! :)

Stay tuned for more updates!  We are having a fabulous summer.

Easter bunny (sort of) and March birthdays (finally)

It seems April was somewhat of a blur for the Adams family!  I haven't been very good at keeping up with the blog world that's for sure ;)  Maybe I'll get better...
We decided to take the kids to see the Easter bunny the weekend of Easter while we were visiting friends in Columbus.  We had taken them in Auburn already, but I didn't want to buy the ridiculously over-priced, terrible pictures.  Why must they insist on using their cameras??  Anyway, the whole ordeal was a failure.  The line was crazy long and as soon as we got in line of course the bunny went to take his break. sigh.  So the Adams' just took a few pictures with the decorations and called it a day.  The hubs was very pleased to say the least ;)

While were in Columbus, we finally celebrated March birthdays in our group :)

cute cupcakes that my friend, Janine made
I loved that they were also festive for Easter :)

my friend Jill (in pink) is getting married in Sept. and she asked us to be bridesmaids!!

I am so very blessed!  I hope you are all having a wonderful week!

Mark's 4th birthday party

This year we had Mark's party at Chick-fil-A and it was great!  The kids got to play, and I didn't have to worry about cleaning our apartment to have everyone there.  There was a lot more room for everyone too!  He had a great turn out, and I think everyone had a good time.  It was of course Toy Story theme, his favorite right now ;)  I also had Toy Story coloring pages for the kids who didn't want to play in the play place or for the ones who got tired.  I can definitely see us having future parties there.  Here are some pictures to document the big day!

One Year!

I can hardly believe a year ago today my sweet baby girl entered my life.  She has been a blessing since day 1, and I'm sure she will continue to bless my life for many years to come.  She is silly, smart, beautiful, energetic, a wonderful sleeper and eater, daring, snugly, petite, loving, and most of all-mine!  I'm beyond thankful for her little life.  Although life got instantly crazier with 2 kiddos to take care of and love, she made the transition so easy.  I feel so complete and grateful for her entering my world.  I have loved doing girly things with her and cannot wait to do the big girl stuff like tea parties, dance classes, weekend shopping trips, mani/pedis, etc.  I hope she always knows that she has a friend in me, and we are close friends.  Thank you Lord for giving me a daughter to have on this earth.  I pray I will raise her to be a Godly woman, a virtuous woman. I pray that she will live for you and make a big impact in your Kingdom.

Alyssah's stats/facts right now at 12 months:
-She is in size 4 diapers.
-She is wearing a size 3 shoe, but will be in a 4 very soon.
-She's wearing mostly 12 months clothes.  Some of her 9 months things still fit, but are getting too short ;)
-We have been transitioning to whole milk this week.  I'm doing half formula, half milk.  She's starting to like regular milk a little more.  She has to get used to it being cold, and I think she'll be fine.
-She is crawling like a mad lady, pulling up on any and everything, but not walking yet.  She will free stand for a few seconds then she just plops back down.  I know she's so close!
-She is completely on solid foods.  Right now she loves any and all cereal, bananas, green beans, turkey, applesauce, rice, and Ritz crackers.
-She loves to talk.  She can clearly say bye, hey, dada, mama, uh-oh, and we are working on baby and love you :)
-She loves to dance and clap her hands.  I really hope she wants to take dance.  I wish I had taken ballet or something like that growing up.
-She has 10 teeth I believe.  She has been cutting them in 2's and 4's :/ Cranky baby some days, but with every right to be!
I think that's about everything...but I'm sure I left out something.

Here are a few recent pictures.  I will do a separate post of her 1 year pictures later this weekend.  We have a big party planned for our little princess.  Stay tuned for that post as well.  Happy Friday :)

My sweet nephew, Aiden turned 2 on April 2nd.  He had his party at McDonald's in Phenix City and the kids had a blast :)  Here are a few pictures from the party.  We had a great time visiting with our family!
