A not so fun first...

Last night we had our first visit to the after hours clinic with Mark. He went to the doctor last week for an ear infection and it never cleared up. His antibiotic wasn't working and he started running a fever. He also started weezing really bad a few days before. Well my Mom and I get to the clinic (Christopher has to get up for work at the crack of dawn, so my Mom went with me-THANK YOU!) and of course we have to wait a while, but not as long as it could have been. They got Mark back there for his vitals, and he had a 103 degree temp. WOW! They took him back as soon as a room cleared up. Well he had to do a breathing treatment, which we do at home, and have the doctor listen to his chest. He said it sounded a little bit better after the treatment, but he prescribed a steroid to clear his chest up. We are also doing treatments every 4 hours. To clear his ears up he had to get a shot of Rocephin, which is done in 3 rounds...really??? I hate shots, but he does need to get better. The doctor pretty much said it was either this or the hospital. I would definitely rather do the shots! He did okay considering it was almost 10:00 and he was burning up with fever.
We went to the doctor today for the second dose and he cried alot this time, but he has been a great sport. It amazes me how babies really do have good attitudes when they are sick. I can't imagine being so sweet and not being able to say what hurts.
Tune in later to find out about our adventure after we left the clinic...

Welcome

Welcome to the Adams Family blog! I hope that I am successful at blogging at least weekly. I have been thinking about creating a blog for a while, and finally got around to doing it. This could be a bad sign about my blogging potential, but we'll see :) I thought this would be a good way to keep in touch with friends and family near and far. It's so hard to keep in touch with people who even live in the same city, so this is a good way to keep people updated. Not only that, but this is a great way to brag and show off my precious baby! Hope you are all having a fabulous week. See you again soon!
