One Fun Weekend

We had a fabulous weekend. Friday night was spent hanging out with my girls and Mark of course watching a girlie movie, My Fake Fiance. It was actually a really cute movie. I love Tivo by the way.
Saturday, Mark and I got up and ate breakfast while Daddy was still in bed. Christopher works every Saturday morning and then goes back to sleep :) After breakfast Mark played in his room while I attempted to organize and clean it out. We are hoping to have a yard sale soon, hopefully with other families from our church. We have so much junk. I pretty much have come to terms with the fact that I am a pack rat of sort. I hold on to things that really have no use in hopes to find a use for them one day. Usually they get thrown away or sold before I ever use them. And sometimes after I get rid of them I seem to need them. Why does it work out that way? It's puzzling... Anyway back to the reason for this post. After I got some things cleared out Mark took a nap and I got ready to go to Wal-Mart. We took our other car to get an oil change and did some grocery shopping. It's ridiculous how much we spend on food. We would have so much money if we didn't have to eat :) After we got home and unloaded we went to the Ramsey's for dinner and to hang out. Our friends Daniel and Ashleigh came down from Indiana for a visit. We haven't seen them in a while so it was great getting to spend time with them. Their picture is below with Mark :) After we left there, we went to Jessica and Buffy's to play Rock Band. I think we might be addicted...SO fun!
Sunday we went to church and Mark finally got to wear his Easter outfit!! He wasn't wanting to take pictures so I did the best I could. We ate lunch with our friends from church at the new Houlihan's. I loved my food, but we really aren't too impressed with it. It's a little on the expensive side for us. Sunday night was a blast too! We had a special presentation by the campus minister at Columbus State and friend Derik. He spoke about the work being done there on the campus and activities they are getting involoved with. I enjoyed hearing about their work. It really made me miss campus ministry and miss my Auburn days! After church was over we had a dessert social which basically meant we had dessert for dinner. Nothing but sugar!! I ate about a pound of strawberry shortcake thanks to Jess :) Love her! We went to hang out at Jessica and Buffy's afterwards and played Rock Band...Do you see a pattern?? lol
Wish us luck tomorrow (May 1)!! Mark is getting tubes put in his ears finally. We have to be there at 6:00AM so we have an early start ahead of us. I'm a little nervous. Say a prayer for my sweet boy!

Trying out my new swing I got from Aunt Weezie for my birthday. The sun was in his eyes so he didn't like it too much here!

That's better!! Weeeee

I think he likes it!

Easter weekend 2009

This picture sums up how our Easter turned out...AWFUL! I know one day he'll hate me for it...I'm such a mean Mommy ;)

Rose Hill Egg Hunt 2009

Sweet baby!

The Easter bunny came!

Easter afternoon. Egg hunt at Big Daddy and Mimzy's!

Mimzy helped me find lots of eggs :)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Saturday (11th) started out normal. We got up and went to the egg hunt at church. Little did I know Mark would soon start to feel bad. Mark and I ran a few errands and then went back home for him to take a nap. He didn't sleep very good, but I still didn't think anything of it. He had a cold so I thought it was just that. Well we went to hang out at Jessica and Buffy's later that night and he started burning up with fever. We got him home and he started to feel like he was getting cooler so we put him to bed to get some sleep. Well around 4:15 Sunday morning he woke us up screaming! I just knew by the way he was acting he had an ear infection. We put him in the tub to cool him off, but nothing seemed to be working. Finally around 7:00 he was at 99 degrees. We took him to the After Hours clinic and sure enough he had an ear infection in his left ear. After we left there we went to family Easter lunch. We missed church and he didn't get to wear his cute outfit, but he is going to wear it Sunday, so there will pictures coming. Anyway, back to the story. We went to eat and he finally ate a little bit of food. He hadn't wanted anything but milk and his fever was too high. He got tired of drinking juice! I helped hide eggs and with Mimzy's help Mark got to participate in his first egg hunt :) You could tell he didn't feel well, but he was interested in being outside and putting eggs in his basket. It was definitely an Easter I will never forget! Hope you all had a wonderful Easter with your families!

Softball season has begun!

We had our first church league softball game on March 24, 2009 and because of all the rain we've had lately there hasn't been another one. We are playing tonight though if a monsoon doesn't come :) The score from the 1st game was 15-12! Go Rose Hill!! These are a few pictures from that game. There will be more to come.

Welcome to the world...

On Thursday, April 2, 2009 my first nephew, Aiden Edward Barnes came into the world. He made his appearance at 6:01 PM (CST), weighed in at 7 lbs. 1 oz., and measured 19 inches long! He is so adorable :) These are from Thursday through the weekend. I took a lot more, but here are few for your enjoyment!

Waiting on their baby boy!

New cousins :)

Our weekend was so much fun. I miss my brother a lot. I enjoyed getting to spend time with him and his wife Lacey. I'm so glad I got to be there for this special day in their lives. I'm excited I have a nephew to spoil and love. I love being an aunt. I'm also glad that Mark now has a boy cousin to play with. They are only a year and almost a month apart.
I can't wait to post pictures from Easter weekend. It will be Mark's 2nd Easter. He will actually get to hunt eggs and enjoy it this year. It's strange to think that last year he was only a few weeks old.
