Happy Halloween 2009

Halloween was extremely busy for us this year. We had our niece's 3rd birthday party, my brother's wedding, and trick-or-treating to do. I'll save the first two activities for my next posts, but for now these are from Halloween night. We were going to take Mark trick-or-treating while us older people went trick-or-canning for the homeless, but he fell asleep. He was exhausted from the long day we had, but it was rainy and nasty anyway. He had a good long nap with Daddy while we collected cans!

By the end of the night we were frozen and wet, but we had a blast!

A better family picture, but of course Mark isn't looking!

He liked this game!

Hope you all enjoyed your Halloween weekends! I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas! It will be here before you know it :)

Mark's first football game

On Oct. 23rd, as previously mentioned, we went to the Central/Smiths game. Mark loved his first football game! I think he was shocked at first, but he started getting into it. These are a few pictures from that night.

Oh and Central won! :)

Fall Festival

Oct. 23rd was a busy day for the Adams fam! The day started off with Mark's fall festival at his "school". It was supposed to be outside, but the weather did not want to cooperate so they had to move the games inside. The kids had a blast, esp. with the duck pool. I think it was a little too over their heads, but entertaining none-the-less.
Christopher also had his interview for Columbus Fire Dept. For those out there that knew about this thanks for all the prayers. We won't find out anything for a few more weeks, but we are hoping for the best. He really wants it and financially we NEED it! God is good and will come through if it's His will! The night ended with Mark's very first football game. We went to the Central/Smiths game. I went to Central High and Christopher went to Smiths, so we were rivals :) We had a blast and Mark really enjoyed taking it all in.
The following pics are from the fall festival. I have a few of Mark from the game that I will post later!

Pumpkin Party!

On Saturday, October 24, 2009 Christopher and I hosted our first pumpkin carving party! It was so much fun, and I was so glad our friends could come. Christopher made his now famous homemade chili and we had hot dogs and other treats to go along with it. A big thank you to everyone who helped out with the little extras for the party. It helped us out a lot :) I'm sure we will do this every year now. Yay for starting traditions!! I love having my own little family now b/c we can start new little traditions for the holidays. I have more to post, but for now here are the pictures from the party. Hope everyone is having a good Wednesday!

Pumpkin patch 2009

On Sat. Oct. 10th, my friends and I went to a pumpkin patch in Columbus, GA with two of our favorite little guys! Mark and Josiah, my friend Jennifer's little boy, had mixed reactions to the patch. Mark wasn't a big fan and Josiah loved it! Hopefully next year my little one will enjoy it a lot more. Here are some pictures...I took a lot!

October is here!

I am once again horribly behind on blogging! Sept. was pretty much a blur for our family. I worked every weekend in the month of Sept. b/c Auburn had 4 home games in a row. Whew! It was CRAZY, but it's over and now I'm looking forward to the holidays. October is going to be busy for us. Not really with work, but socially :) Mark and I spent last Sat. with my Mom shopping and hanging out in Auburn all day. It was fun, but tiring by the time we got home to watch the Auburn/TN game. Here are a few pics from Sat. of Mark.

Love this one!

I just finished Nicholas Sparks' "The Lucky One", and I love it! He is by far my favorite author and is getting better with every book. His newest "The Last Song" is on my wish list, and I can't wait to get it! Everyone should experience at least one of his novels!
