It's been a while...

So, it's been like 9 months since I've posted anything here.  I had a baby, and I've recently gone back to work.  It's been a little crazy around here ;)

Sawyer was born August 10, 2015, and we all adore him.  The kids are so sweet with him.

It's been precious watching them love their brother.  I hope they continue to be close as they grow-up. It makes my heart swell!

Sawyer has accomplished a few milestones this month.  He is crawling now and eating like crazy!  His first 2 teeth have come in, and he has tried cheerios.  He loves them!

I hope I am back blogging again soon!  Have a great weekend!

Maternity pictures

I'm so in love with these precious pictures!  Special thanks to my friend, Lindsey for taking these for us.  We can't wait to meet our little man...only 9 days or less left!  Unless he comes before the 10th, I'll be induced early that morning :)

23 weeks

Today, I am actually 24 weeks.  Time is flying by!  I had a great check-up Monday.  My belly is measuring right on track and I've gained 5 more lbs.  I've gained a total of 8 lbs. now.

I wore the same shirt with Mark and Alyssah at 23 weeks for a fun comparison, so I did it for Sawyer too!  Each time, my belly is a little bigger ;)

Baby #3 update!

I had planned to update sooner than now, but time has gotten away from me.  Here are some pictures of my growing belly up until now.  I'm a little over halfway through this pregnancy, and it seems to be flying by!

10 weeks.
That bump looks so tiny now, but then it felt like a lot!

We found out on March 23rd that this sweet little one is a BOY!  If he is anything like Mark, I'm in trouble.  That sweet boy makes me melt!

Sawyer James :)

I am in full planning mode.  Alyssah got her new big girl furniture this week, so we are going to set the crib soon.  I'm decorating her room and the boys'.  We have lots to do and things to get before Sawyer makes his debut.  Thankfully I still have some time, but I'm wanting to get a lot done before summer is here, and we are busy having fun with the kids.  I know my energy level won't stay either.  I'm feeling great.  I'm taking fewer naps and eating a lot ;)  I'm over all of my food aversions except coffee but that's probably a good thing.  I'm back to craving Dr. Pepper, but I'm limiting myself.  Sawyer still wants cheeseburgers too!  My belly is getting bigger, and I'm feeling pretty pregnant at this point.  I'm feeling this little man kick and move around all the time which I love!  My favorite thing about pregnancy is feeling the baby kick.  And my hair while I'm pregnant!  haha!  But for real, feeling life inside you is the most incredible feeling in the world.  Being a woman isn't always fun, but I wouldn't trade being the one God designed to carry life for the world.  It's the most amazing experience, and I'm so thankful that God has blessed me with the chance to do it.

The kids talk about Sawyer everyday and are so excited to meet him.  They kiss and love on my belly.  I can't wait for his kicks to be strong enough for them to feel.  Sometimes they are, but I can ever predict when they will be.  They went with us for the ultrasound.  It was so cute.  They sat there so quietly and just soaked it all in.  The ultrasound lady even gave them their own little picture book to keep.  Mark took his to school to show his class.  I just love how they love our family.  I'm a lucky lady!

Coming soon.....

Adams, party of FIVE!!

Yes, in August our family will welcome another sweet baby :)  We are so excited and the kiddos are making this so much fun for me.

Mark has told me that he would like to have a brother but having another sister would be ok b/c Alyssah needs someone to play tea party with ;)  It's very interesting to have older children who understand that there will be another person in the family.

Alyssah is starting to catch on, although she doesn't understand why she can't see the baby in my belly.  She's trying to figure out how it got there.  She is also starting to make plans for the baby.  She keeps telling me that we need to get baby toys and a swing.  She's been asking what else we need :)  She's going to be an awesome helper!

We found out that we were pregnant on Dec. 5th.  It was the best Christmas present!  Although I was excited, I felt awful from the day I found out on until about 13 weeks.  I am enjoying being pregnant much more at this point.  Christmas wasn't too fun but that's ok.  I was comforted by the nausea and exhaustion.

Everything with this pregnancy has been different from my pregnancies with Mark and A.  I was only sick with them from week 10-14, and I never felt as tired as I have this time.  My cravings are different too.  I want McDonald's all the time, and I usually hate it.  I also hardly ever want Dr. Pepper and if you know me well, I'm addicted!  I love pickles and hate onions.  Lately, I can't get enough oranges and orange juice.

I feel very blessed to be able to be at home this time around.  It has been nice to be able to nap and take it easy.  Poor Alyssah has been a trooper.  I'm glad I'm feeling better so I can do more with her.  I still take naps but not as much ;)

I'm looking forward to getting ready for another sweet bundle to be in my arms.  God's goodness and faithfulness amazes me over and over.  Two years ago around this time, I was healing from losing a baby that went to be in heaven. His timing is always perfect even if we don't understand.

Hopefully, I will be good at documenting everything in the months to come.  Can't wait to know if baby is a sweet girl or boy!  We should know in about a month!!

Our visit with Santa 2014

Our Thanksgiving was wonderful!  I loved having both of the kids at home for the week with no schedules and easy mornings :)

We went to a holiday open house in Alabaster the weekend before Thanksgiving and had a little visit with Santa!  This year was a welcomed easy, tear less process...let's just say A hasn't been to fond of Jolly Ol' St. Nick the past year or so ;)

The kiddos had their lists to reference to while discussing their gift ideas.  We did this last year with Mark and it seemed to make things easier and a little quicker.

Mark reassuring sister that Santa was nice!  He's a good brother.

Santa tried to get some of A's sugar but she looked at him like he was crazy...it was cute.  He gave her some love instead.  Daddy was proud of her!

We are enjoying the Christmas season so far and look forward to all the fun to come!  We have started our Advent countdown and I'll share about that later this week hopefully.  Let's get real, it will probably be next week ;)  Have a great week!  Merry Christmas!

Since my last post...

This poor blog just gets put on the back burner a lot!  We have been busy but loving this season that we are in.

October was full of lots of fun.

My parents came to visit one weekend and we took the kids to get their pumpkins.

Yes, Alyssah is moody.  You never know what to expect when I get out the camera ;)

We had our annual Pumpkin Carving Party!  I got more pictures on my phone, but here are a few.

Social media!  I loved doing this :)  My friends are awesome!

Here are some of the pumpkins that were carved at the party!  I took this a few days after so some pumpkins are missing.

Sweet girl and her princess pumpkin :)

My little Leonardo!

Ready for trick-or-treating. They had a lot of fun this year trick-or-treating.  We joined some new friends so that made it even more fun :)

We took our Christmas pictures on the hottest day in October!  I was not feeling too jolly, but we got them done ;)  And we took a few others as well.

Love these ladies!

We have some of the best friends in the world.  So blessed and thankful!  We missed the Roberts' and Worsley's!!

Hopefully I'll be back sooner than later.  Have a fantastic weekend!!
