Independence Day 2012

Happy 4th of July (a little late, as always!)!  We had a very low key Independence Day but it was wonderful :)  The kids and I got out and went on a little walk that morning before it got too hot.  I was still sweating like crazy but it was nice to get for a little bit in the sunshine and fresh air!

After we went for a walk we got some water and headed to the pool. It was early so no one else was there yet.  It was nice to play with the kids and get to do something as a family of 4.  We rarely get to all go to the pool together.
little girl isn't a huge fan of the pool :/

So I have to explain both of these pictures...Alyssah has been making this face a lot lately (the one in the second photo), and Mark was the only one who could get her to do it at first.  I guess that's why he was making it in the 1st one and then she finally did it in the second one.  I don't remember saying to make the face but nevertheless it's a memory.
We (Mark and I) on our way to church and I wanted a picture of us in our patriotic outfits :)
Mark made this hat in his class during the service.  Cutie!

Happy Independence Day, America!
I am very thankful to live in a country where I have the freedom to be who I am, help provide for my family, and worship my God.  I'm most of all thankful for the freedom I have in Jesus.  I'm thankful that He has set me free from the bonds of satan and sin and given me true redemption.  What a wonderful Savior!

Father's Day 2012

It's been a little while since my last post.  I can barely keep up with what day it is lately.

We had a great Father's day this year.  We went to church and out to eat at a local Italian restaurant formerly known as Provino's around here.  It's been renamed to Ventitori's or something like that ;)  The rest of the day we hung out at home and just enjoyed being together.  It was a good day!

I made a picture collage for Christopher's Father's Day gift and these are the pictures I used :)  We are so blessed to have these 2 beautiful babies.  They make our world more beautiful and exciting.  I never knew I could love someone so much...I'm so thankful for my wonderful husband.  I could not have picked anyone better for me or for my children.  Happy Father's Day to my handsome, amazing, loving, hott husband ;)

Family time!

We recently spent the day with our family and went to my little brother(in law)'s last baseball game of Spring.  The kids had a blast and it was a beautiful day to be outside!

Marky Mark at 4 years old!

First of all, I can't believe Mark is 4 years old...I have so enjoyed being his Mommy!  He has taught me so much about myself and how to look at life.  I'm thankful he is a sweet, loving child who loves me regardless of my faults as his Mom.  I know there are many things I could have done better but he has certainly given me much more grace than I deserve.  Here are some fun shots I took of him the other day.  He is very easy to photograph :)  I love him to pieces!

Alyssah is 16 months!!

On Mother's day I took some pictures of both of my babies.  I haven't done a little photo session with either of them in a while so it was time ;)  These are of A at 15 1/2 months actually but she is 16 months as of May 20th!  Man, time is flying by!
At her 15 month appointment she weighed 23 lbs 3 oz and measured 30.75 inches.  She is around the 50th percentile in both categories.  She is wearing size 5 diaper and has for a few months now.  She is wearing 18 month clothes and some 2T actually.  My girl is healthy, happy and absolutely gorgeous.  I am so blessed...my cup runs over :)

Wordless Wednesday

Let us sing psalms of praise to Him."

Easter bunny (sort of) and March birthdays (finally)

It seems April was somewhat of a blur for the Adams family!  I haven't been very good at keeping up with the blog world that's for sure ;)  Maybe I'll get better...
We decided to take the kids to see the Easter bunny the weekend of Easter while we were visiting friends in Columbus.  We had taken them in Auburn already, but I didn't want to buy the ridiculously over-priced, terrible pictures.  Why must they insist on using their cameras??  Anyway, the whole ordeal was a failure.  The line was crazy long and as soon as we got in line of course the bunny went to take his break. sigh.  So the Adams' just took a few pictures with the decorations and called it a day.  The hubs was very pleased to say the least ;)

While were in Columbus, we finally celebrated March birthdays in our group :)

cute cupcakes that my friend, Janine made
I loved that they were also festive for Easter :)

I am so very blessed!  I hope you are all having a wonderful week!
